For example, when I first started writing online, I was writing a personal diary of sorts. Since I was writing it more as an outlet for self-expression and not as …

Just concluded last month’s poll: Is making money online your main occupation?
And, as you can see from the chart here, it looks like majority of JMMO readers and visitors are only investigating the prospect of making money online (41%). They’re still researching, and finding out the best way to make money online, I suppose. I’m really amazed at this number. I thought this will be much lower. But, it does help me to think of what kind of resources to develop here at JMMO.
Other than the “research only” group, 17% of the voters said that making money online is just a hobby. So, it looks like a good 58% of folks are not in this area as a job. At least, not yet anyway.
Then, there are …

Yesterday, I visited my friend Tara’s place and noticed that she put a large piece of paper on her bedroom wall, next to where she slept.
On it was written some quotations and general life principles. Tara wanted to remind herself of these words when she woke up everyday and before she went to bed. It’s a self-improvement trick to overcome negativity and focus on the important things.
So I got curious and read what she wrote. After I came home, I tried recalling what I read but could only come up with two lines. The rest were a blur.
If it was up to me, I would split the large piece of paper into little post-it notes, …

For starters I think people in all occupations can get stressed and suffer from ill health. I’ve had friends pass away from and survive heart attacks who work in numerous fields - including blogging. I’m a little skeptical that blogging is any more stressful than other professions - yes it can be a pressure cooker of a job - but I wonder if it’s more about the person, the way …
